My Experience in Learning English

My experience in learning English is very long and full of challenges. I spent almost all my life learning English. It all started when I was in Junior High School. At that time, my father sent all of his kids to an English course. The owner, also the tutor, is his friend. I was not very happy but I had to accept it. Memorizing a lot of vocabulary was a major task rather than learning grammar at that time. Then, in 1^st grade of Senior High School, I joined an English Club. I was interested after spending my Junior High School years on courses. The activity was very fun but did not last long. After seeing my English score, in Senior High School, my father sent me to study English in university. Unfortunately, I could not pass the entrance exam.  I was very sad but my family supported me and let me take some English courses in Pare. One year after my failure, I was finally accepted as an English Literature student at Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Malang. As a university student, I experienced many obstacles but fortunately, I was able to survive and graduate well. 

Even though I spend lots of time learning English, I feel like my English skills are not that good. I still face many problems. Speaking is the hardest part because when I want to speak, I often forget the vocabulary. Moreover, grammar always comes up as a priority so I am afraid that I will make mistakes in speaking. However, in this language enrichment program from LPDP, I will try to correct all the mistakes I have made. I will study harder and be more serious so I can get a higher TOEFL score than before and master English well.
